Welcome to MotoGP:Unlocked

Having been a follower of motorsport for most of my life – the likes of Formula 1, BTCC, Le Mans, the World and British Superbikes have had me enthralled. But for me, the best category of racing is undoubtedly MotoGP. The quality of the racing is seldom matched by anything else, played out in the greatest arenas from Phillip Island in Australia, to the Termas de Rio Hondo circuit in Argentina. With no quarter given on the track, and rarely any given off it, with controversy aplenty to intensify the championship further. One need only think of the 2007 showdown between Casey Stoner and Valentino Rossi, or last year’s finale as Rossi was beaten by Jorge Lorenzo, if any reminder is needed to the thrills of this sport.

Due to ever increasing work commitments at University this year, this website will only be providing race reports from the MotoGP category, regrettably dropping Moto2 and Moto3 reports. However this year, I’ll also be providing a Qualifying report on Saturday, so their will still be multiple articles appearing over every race weekend.

NEW for 2017 will be a monthly ‘Final Lap’ article, which will round up all the major talking points from the sport from the past month. The ‘Features’ section will remain the same as last year, which will provide insights, previews, rider articles etc from MotoGP, Moto 2+3, as well as Superbikes and Road Racing.
